Our office in Brisbane offers opportunities on either a part- ime or full-time basis for anyone meeting our criteria, including travellers, students and mature aged people.
The job entails going from door-to-door providing information to the public and asking for vital funds for our ongoing accommodation and awareness & prevention campaigns. Transport is provided and we regularly have a country team that travels to Canberra or around Australia which may provide people with the opportunity to see some of Australia while getting paid. Our advocates distribute to both residences and businesses printed information about cancer prevention, in particular the benefits of cancer preventative measures such as diet and exercise and also the benefits of regular screening for early detection.
Further details can be obtained by contacting 1800 350 480.
Throughout Queensland the organisation regularly has information stalls set up in shopping centres and other retail outlets distributing information about cancer prevention. This also provides opportunity for our advocates to talk to members of the community on a face-to-face basis about preventative measures educating the community of the benefits of early detection.
Cancer & Bowel Research Trust has friendly people working in designated shopping centres, supermarkets and malls in the Brisbane metropolitan areas.
